An update for the 3rd ed. Kroot Mercenaries list. Pretty much what you would expect from a Kroot list, either stand-alone, or as mercenaries in certain armies. Takes the standard Kroot rules from the Tau codex and gives the older ones a facelift. Units from Imperial Armour 3 as well. I was hoping for some non-canon Kroot vehicles, but the Fast Attack and Heavy Support are all based on Krootox and Knarlocs. Guess I'll have to find my Kroot vehicles somewhere else :p.
The last twelve pages are taken up by the modeling and paint galleries, some very nice conversions and paint schemes therein. The units themselves are all competent, no over or underpowering it seems, though one interesting unit placement is the Baggage Greater Knarlocs being placed in the Troops section with the Carnivore squads. Yes, that's right you can have up to 3 T-5 W-5 fleeting meatshields per Carnivore squad at only 35 points each...mmmmmm. The only beef I have with this codex is that they took the Kroot Hounds out of the Carnivore squads and gave them to one of the (admittedly cool) Elite squads, and even they can only have 5 per squad.
All in all a great Fandex 5/5 stars.
